Is SuperDuper blowing away a folder?

I have SuperDuper set to backup my files nightly from one drive to another.

Every day, I come in and this folder has disappeared from my drive. I have SD copying Big Guy to my Edit2 Backup. Digitized files for Final Cut Pro are gone every morning. I've redigitized them several times.

Here's the log from SD. Anything I need to change?

That's what Smart Update does, Chris. As it says -- it makes the destination volume exactly resemble the selections from the source, just as if you had erased it and copied the files.

If you want to store your FCP files, you should partition the drive and isolate the data from the backup.

I screwed up

Dave,

I screwed up. I don't know how it happened, but somewhere along the line, I targeted my backup drive as the target drive for Final Cut.

So, when it erased files to make it match my data drive, it blew away those files from the backup.

Thanks,

Chris

Makes sense! Thanks, Chris.
