Not copied, but were copied?

Aloha, I have been using SuperDuper for a few months,in free mode, and was excited about the new version. I tried it today and was ready to purchase the "full version" but I ran into a funny snag. After doing a backup which took about an hour SuperDuper completed, but in red said that it failed to copy. However upon checking the external HD that I copied to everything was there. I haven't tried booting from it yet. Anyone else experience this? Should I ignore the message in red? Any info, tips, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You definitely shouldn't ignore the message in red. Show the log, Doralives, and look at what file has failed. There's a whole section in the User's Guide that deals with Troubleshooting... I'd suggest starting there.

Mahalo for the quick reply! Here's the log. I have no idea what it means.

Everything appears to have copied when I examine the copy on a LaCie external HD120. I don't have any Lexmark Printers or drivers installed as far as know. I didn't install them when I installed 10.4. Any ideas?

I guess you didn't get a chance to look at the troubleshooting guide. But, from the log, you're trying to copy 39GB to a 36GB volume, which is why it's filling:

| 12:47:11 PM | Info | Source Drive: Macintosh HD, mount: /, device: WDC WD2500JD-41HBC0, interconnect: Internal ATA, file system: "HFS+", OS: 10.4.3 (8F46), capacity: 232.76 GB, used: 39.12 GB, directories: 51806, files: 262157, ejectable: NO, ACLs: Disabled
| 12:47:11 PM | Info | Target Drive: G5 Backup, mount: /Volumes/G5 Backup, device: WDC WD12 00BB-32DWA0, interconnect: External FireWire, file system: "HFS+", OS: N/A, capacity: 36.89 GB, used: 0.03 GB, directories: 4, files: 7, ejectable: NO, ACLs: Disabled

The Lexmark drivers are part of the OS, and come with the Tiger install.
