Is this Possible? Backing up to my iPod?

Hey all long time superduper user here and I have a quick question... I would ideally like to maintain two backups one a complete system backup on an external drive (I've already got that one worked out) and two a separate encrypted backup of my users folder minus my music folder to my iPod (no reason to backup my music twice...) So I was wondering how would I set this up to run? Thanks

OK. To set up the second, you'll have to create an encrypted sparse image with Disk Utility of the appropriate size on the iPod. Add the password to the keychain and unmount it.

Then, create a new copy script. Base it on "Backup - user files" and add a command to exclude your music folder. (See the User's Guide for the technique to use.)

Set the destination to a "Disk Image..." using the sparse image you created in the first step. make sure the image type is "Read/Write "Sparse" Image".

That's all there is to it!

Thanks that worked except that next time I gotta remember to move the diskimage off my desktop and onto the device BEFORE I attempt to back it up since it won't be able to copy its self on to its self

Ah, that's why I said to create the image on the iPod... ;)
