What exactly are the problems with Leopard?

What exactly are the problems with Leopard and SuperDuper?

I have a fairly vanilla installation of Leopard and SuperDuper
appears to be going through the motions...

1) Are all of the files copied to the backup disk?

2) If the answer to 1) is yes and the backup will not boot
and there is a problem with the main disk, could one
recover all of the data/apps on the backup by doing a
clean install from DVD and then copy back from the backup
drive?

3) Are there any other problems?

This topic has been discussed to death both here in the forums and on Dave's blog. Here are a few links to get started:
  • Blog updates on Leopard compatibility status from November 16 and November 26.
  • This thread (and others) which discuss the fact that the clones that SuperDuper! makes under Leopard aren't bootable.
  • This thread, which discusses the fact that smart updates don't work yet under Leopard.
  • This thread, which suggests that file permissions aren't restored properly from a SuperDuper! clone of a Leopard disk.

So yeah, I think it's more than just the fact that the cloned drive isn't bootable. There's at least some potential for data loss (in the form of permissions or other metadata). That should be enough to discourage you from experimenting. It is for me, anyways. ;)
