SD scheduled backups and Leopard Server

I have SD running on a Intel Mac Pro with Leopard Server 10.5.4 with 2 scheduled scripts. All looks OK but backup only works one time.
The next scheduled copie actually doesn't happen but Next Scheduled Copie in the SD screen gets updated to de next schedule.
Cronjob seems OK, no screen lock or sleep involved, admin user is always logged in.

What can be the problem?

If you edit the one that doesn't work and set it to run 'a few minutes from now', then watch, does it work?

Yes it does.

Hm, then it should certainly work on its regular schedule time. Set the time back and let's see what happens.

dnanian,

that's what I tought also. I've put the time back to normal schedule at 9:30PM

This is what found in the system log:

Sep 19 14:10:00 server com.apple.launchd[1] (0x115bc0.cron[17389]): Could not setup Mach task special port 9: (os/kern) no access

The last line bothers me. Is it possible SD is installing a new crontask after runnin the backup ? If so this could be the reason.

No, that's all pretty normal stuff.

fonny 09-19-2008 09:51 AM

could not set up cron task : no access ??

OK if you say so. I keep an eye on it and see further the next days.
I'll keep you posted.

Yes, that's pretty normal: it's generated under Leopard, but has nothing to do with actual 'job creation'.
