Two Internal Drives Backed Up to One External Drive?

I've read through the FAQ and a few of the posts on the forum but I still haven't been able to successfully do this. I consider myself computer literate, but this is making feel pretty dumb that I can't get this to work.

Anyway, I've got a Mac G5 with two 160GB internal hard drives. They're named MacHD1 and MacHD2. I need to back both of them up to my 500GB external firewire drive (name=WD) every night.

What is the most efficient way to do this?

Partition the external drive into two (or more) partitions, one for each source, sized appropriately, and then the rest for your own use.

Then, create two schedules, one for each source to its corresponding destination.

That's it!
