Using extra space on bootable partition for storage

I made a bootable backup on a partition of my WD MyBook drive. Everything works fine. However, on the partition where the backup was placed, there is about 50 gig of unused space. Can I use that space for storage or recording of Logic Audio files, or is that a bad idea? Will that mess up the bootable backup?

Thanks! And thanks for the great software!

That's a bad idea -- partition the drive if you want to store other things there. (See "Storing a backup alongside other files on a destination drive" in the User's Guide.)

Thanks! After I posted this, I found that section of the doc. You'd think that a documentation writer such as myself might know enough to look there first! :)

You're not alone, groovecake. :)
